How it works
Four steps. With your PDF and cover ready, publishing takes under half an hour.
- 1Open your author account
Signing up is free. When you create it, choose the "Author" profile: that unlocks the Author Studio and the dashboard where your published works appear.
- 2Upload the book and the cover
You need the finished manuscript as a PDF and a portrait cover image (2:3 ratio, ideally 1600 × 2400 px). You can also link a PDF hosted elsewhere.
- 3Fill in the details and the price
Title, subtitle, description, language, categories and the price in dollars. The price is yours to set and you can change it any time from your dashboard.
- 4Pay the fee and send it for review
The one-time publishing fee is USD 29 per book; if we do not approve it, you get a full refund. Before a book goes on sale we review it — usually the same day — to keep the catalog in order. Once approved it gets its own page, its search-engine listing and an active buy button, and we email you the link.
What your book gets
The same treatment as the 574 titles already in the catalog.
Every work gets a permanent address (books.adonait.com/libro/…) built for Google, with structured data, cover and description.
Payment runs through Stripe on Adonait's account. You need no merchant account, no gateway and no certificates.
As soon as payment clears, the book lands in the buyer's library and can be read in the browser — nothing to install.
When someone shares the book on WhatsApp, Facebook or LinkedIn, a card appears with the cover, the title and the price.
The catalog already holds Spanish, English, Portuguese, Italian and Hebrew. Publish in whatever language you write, and add translations as separate titles.
From your dashboard you edit the details, fix the price, withdraw a work or upload the next one.

Frequently asked questions
What does it cost to publish?
A one-time fee of USD 29 per book, paid when you send it for review. There is no monthly or maintenance fee. If we do not approve the book, we refund the full USD 29. After that, Adonait keeps 30% of the price only when a sale actually happens: the fee is never deducted from your royalties.
Do you help with the cover, layout or translation?
Yes, as optional one-time services: professional cover (USD 79), layout and formatting (USD 59), Spanish-to-English translation (USD 149), and a featured spot on the home page with social promotion (USD 39). They are not required to publish. Order them from this page or your author dashboard, and after payment we email you to coordinate.
When do I get paid?
Royalties build up in your account and are paid once a month, between the 1st and the 5th, whenever your balance is over 50 dollars. Below that, the balance carries over to the following month.
Do I lose the rights to my book?
No. You keep 100% of the copyright in your work: the text, the story, the characters, the title and all of its original content. Publishing here only grants us a non-exclusive digital distribution licence, which means you may keep selling the same work on other platforms.
Can I sell the same book on Amazon KDP, Kobo, Google Play or other stores at the same time?
Yes. The licence is non-exclusive: you may publish and sell the same work simultaneously on Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing, Kobo Writing Life, Google Play Books, Apple Books, your own website or any other store or publisher, without asking our permission and without affecting your agreement with Adonait Books. One caveat that does not depend on us: some programmes on other platforms impose their own exclusivity — for example, Amazon's KDP Select requires the ebook to be sold only on Amazon while it is enrolled. If you enrol in such a programme, that restriction comes from that platform, not from us.
What rights exactly do I give Adonait Books?
Only what is needed to sell your book here: to host the file, display it, sell it and deliver it in digital format on Adonait Books, and to use the title, cover, description, your author name and short excerpts to promote it. We acquire no ownership of the work, and no print, translation, audiobook, film, television, merchandising or any other derivative rights.
Can I withdraw my book? Do I lose anything if I do?
You can withdraw it whenever you like, from your author dashboard or by writing to us, at no cost and with no penalty. When it is withdrawn our licence ends and you keep all your rights to publish or sell it wherever you choose. Readers who already bought it keep access to their copy, and royalties already earned are still paid to you.
Are there any exclusivity clauses, pricing conditions or penalties for selling elsewhere?
No. Our agreement has no exclusivity clause, no territorial or distribution restriction, no minimum price or price-parity requirement and no minimum term. Selling your book on other platforms does not affect your right to receive 70% of the sales made on Adonait Books and carries no penalty. The only conditions are the ones that apply to every work: it must be yours or you must have the right to publish it, and its content must be lawful and comply with our terms.
What file format do you need?
PDF. That is what our built-in reader displays. Check it before uploading: the file you upload is exactly the file your reader receives.
Can I change the price or fix the book later?
Yes. From your author dashboard you can edit the details, upload a corrected PDF, change the cover, adjust the price or withdraw the work from the catalog.
Can I publish a free book?
Yes. Set the price to 0 and the work is delivered at no charge. It is a common way to introduce yourself as an author before offering your paid titles.
How long does publishing take?
Every work is reviewed before going on sale; that is usually settled the same day. We email you when it is published, with the link to your page. If something needs fixing we tell you exactly what, and you can submit it again.
Do you accept any content?
We accept work in any genre as long as it is yours or you are authorised to publish it. We do not publish material that infringes third-party rights, constitutes hate speech or breaches our terms, and we remove it if it appears later. If your work was written or illustrated with the help of artificial intelligence, please say so in the description.
Do I need an ISBN?
Not to sell on Adonait Books. If you already have one you may mention it in the description; if you plan to distribute through traditional bookshops, arrange it yourself.
